Our ZRW64AEM and ZRW125AEM rail-road shunting vehicles have been specially developed for shunting applications and last-mile transport tasks and are primarily used on industrial, works and harbour railways. The road running gear with rubber tyres gives them a high degree of flexibility in use.
The ZRW64AEM is generally used for trailer loads of >800 tonnes. Due to the higher weight and performance design of the ZRW125AEM or multiple traction, the permissible trailer load can be increased as required. The actual permissible trailer load is physically dependent on various factors such as load, curve radius, gradient, etc. We will be happy to design the vehicles for your specific application.
Our rail-road shunting vehicles have been developed 100% for the future of CO2-neutral and emission-free shunting. They offer a cost-effective alternative to conventional diesel locomotives, both in terms of purchase and maintenance, and are characterised by low life-cycle costs.
The all-electric, battery-powered drive is regenerative. Depending on the application, lead or lithium batteries are used. Battery replacement systems are also available to optimise operational readiness.
The basic concept of the ZRW64AEM and ZRW125AEM series is based on robust rail vehicles, not converted road vehicles. Railway-specific requirements for fatigue strength, frame stability (suitable for buffer impact), coupling systems, track guidance, compressor system, radio remote control, derailment safety, etc. were taken into account during development. Ergonomic aspects such as access, cab and ease of maintenance were also taken into account in the design using modern 3D CAD software.
The following authorisations are possible in Germany.
Further country-specific authorisations are optionally available.
- BOA (railway regulations on the construction and operation of railway sidings)
- StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations)
- EBO §32 (Railway Construction and Operating Regulations)
